The Communities’ Urgent Needs

As soon as we realized massive damage the earthquake had created in the entire region, Eliassaint Magloire called together the entire ORE staff and it was agreed that the team of about 20 field agents, would each take a specific area and survey the damage done and also the needs of the population. It quickly became obvious that the main needs were:

  • Shelter

  • Medical Services

  • Food for the hungry.

The team went out to even the most remote areas around Camp Perrin. Unfortunately the tropical storm Grace hampered their efforts for 24 hours and caused extensive flooding, but by within a few days they came back with the information to necessary to put together a relief plan that would best serve the people’s needs.

EVERY GIFT COUNTS

Thank you, thank you, thank you! Every gift however small is a blessing and will make a real change to the lives of the people in the south of Haiti. Every gift goes directly to the people in need.

Love and kindness are never wasted. They always make a difference. They bless the one who receives them, and they bless you, the giver. (THIS IS ALREADY IN THE FINAL SECTION)

When you are hungry, every meal counts. When you are in the rain, every moment of shelter is a blessing. When you sick and in pain, medical attention is like a soothing embrace, a respite from suffering.
